The former boiler-house of the Caballero factory is a worn-down and rough looking space, the perfect spot for a Comme des Garcons guerrillastore. AAARCHITECTEN approached HUNK-design to work together on a design that would capture both the sturdiness of the building and the wickedness of the clothes.
Inspired by photos HUNK-design took in Hong Kong (see urban explorations) of plants growing in the oddest places, we decided to let plants take over in the boiler house. This way we created a place with an even more worn-down appearance but with at the same time a relaxing atmosphere that makes it ideal to shop and to sit down for a drink.
